Walk-in vs. curbless

Low-threshold walk-in showers have a short curb, usually just a few inches, to keep water in. They work in almost any bathroom and are the most common choice.

Curbless showers have no curb at all; the bathroom floor continues straight into the shower. The shower floor has to be recessed and sloped to a drain, often a linear drain.

Waterproofing comes first

Open, curbless designs let water travel further, so the waterproofing has to extend past the shower itself. We install a continuous membrane under the tile and test it before finishes go on.

Walk-in showers fall within our Bronze ($6,500+), Silver ($10,000+) and Gold ($16,000+) packages. Curbless showers usually cost more because of the floor work.
